Q&A Frequently Asked Questions

◎About LAST

Q. What is the difference between the 1st batch and the 2nd batch of LAST EPISODE 0?

A. Masumi's kasutori shochu used in the 1st batch does not have a very strong fruity aroma, and has a very clear and clean taste.

The 2nd batch of Chiyomusubi's Kasutori Shochu was aromatic with a mellow fruitiness and a faint aroma of the sake lees itself.

There are slight variations in the amount of botanicals to match these properties.

Specifically, MODEST has a stronger juniper and cinnamon scent than the 2nd, and ELEGANT has a slightly stronger lavender scent.

We will change the botanicals and distillation, but we will change it based on the “characteristics of the kasutori shochu used”.

Q. What is the difference between MODEST and ELEGANT?

A. The botanicals used in the LAST EPISODE 0 series MODEST and ELEGANT are very different.

MODEST uses juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, cinnamon, ginger, and lemon, which are commonly used as gin botanicals. Ginger and lemon are distilled under reduced pressure to preserve their fresh aroma, while other botanicals are distilled under atmospheric pressure to extract their strong flavor.

ELEGANT uses Juniper Berry, Coriander Seed, Lavender, Hibiscus, Pink Pepper, Ginger, Kaffir Lime Leaf, Sichuan Pepper and Cinnamon. It has a very gorgeous finish. Conscious of the harmony of all botanicals, we realized a complex and gorgeous scent.

◎ About REVIVE

Q. Why did you choose compound gin?

A.In order to express the uniqueness of Budweiser, we chose the compound manufacturing method (a manufacturing method that adds processes such as pickling after distillation) based on the idea of using Budweiser beer instead of water after distillation.

We use a compounding method, but we don't buy grain spirits and soak them in various botanicals in the first place.

Since we start with the distillation of the base spirit itself, it is a special gin that takes more time and effort than a typical gin.

Q. What is the difference from kasutori shochu?

A.Kasutori shochu, as the name suggests, refers to shochu made from sake lees (the "solid" part that remains after squeezing the moromi in making sake. By the way, the liquid part is what is called sake).

On the other hand, REVIVE gin is not a solid part such as sake lees or beer lees as mentioned above, but is distilled from Budweiser itself, which is made for beverages, and then flavored with various botanicals such as juniper berries and hops. expresses

Therefore, the raw material itself is different, and the post-process is also different. Since the Budweiser itself, which is loved as a product, is distilled, it is an ethical and very luxurious taste.
