story

"SECRETO GIN" was developed as part of a project to create new specialty products with the support of Wajima City, the Wajima City Tourism Association, and the Wajima Morning Market Association, with the aim of promoting stay-based tourism in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and revitalizing the Wajima Morning Market.
This craft gin is produced by Chef Akiyoshi Yabunaka, who has worked in restaurants around the world and currently runs the restaurant "SECRETO" in Kagurazaka, Tokyo. It uses 17 types of botanicals and has a rich, fragrant flavor packed with the bounty of the Satoyama and Satoumi of the chef's hometown, Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture.

The original plan was to unveil the gin and have Chef Yabunaka demonstrate and sell it along with the new product, which was intended to become a specialty delicacy at the Wajima Morning Market.
In response to the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake of 2024, we would like to help the affected areas in any way we can, and have decided to donate all of our product sales, minus payment fees and shipping costs, as relief funds to the affected areas.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster, and our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by it. We pray for everyone's safety and for the speedy recovery of the affected areas.

Flavor

It uses 17 types of botanicals, including juniper berries, verbena, sansho pepper, shiitake mushrooms, kelp, yuzu, lemongrass, bay leaves, and bittern, and has a rich, fragrant flavor that is packed with the blessings of the countryside and seas of Ishikawa Prefecture's Noto Peninsula.
